Sparkling wine and Valentine's Day go together like Sonny and Cher, bread and butter, and all of those other famous power couples. If sparkling wine makes you automatically think Champagne...and if the thought of the price tag of Champagne automatically gives you a heart attack...we're here to help! Beautiful Burgundian Champagne is special, and so are many other sparkling wines of the world, all available at a variety of prices. In this class, we'll explore Cava (Spain's answer to Champagne), Prosecco (one of Italy's iterations of sparkling wine, made in a different method than Champagne), effervescent Moscato and more.
We'll have cheese to pair (obviously) and a flight of Tuscan chocolates, courtesy of our friends at Amedei Tuscany. Their chocolates - a six-time winner of the Academy of Chocolate's "Golden Bean" award - have achieved cult-like status among top chefs for the rich, creamy textures and full-bodied flavors in their different varieties.
